Internet Explorer's new version 7, was developed using much of what was in version 6. And in case you didn't hear, that wasn't so good. There are improvements, but still not worth the risk. When we develop web sites for our clients, we test with 3 or 4 browsers. Our Web Hosting statistics show that in addition to IE, users are more and more browsing sites with Firefox and Opera. Why? Because they are developed more securely and they are less targeted. It is also our experience that sites load faster with these browsers. There are few negatives here and there. Text on some sites may look a little awkward, and images may be a little slow to load. Firefox and Opera will probably handle 95% of your browsing needs. Unfortunately they won't handle everything, like downloads from Microsoft.
